ANTIQUE IVES “BULLDOG” CAST IRON CAP GUN 1887***. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. This “BULLDOG” antique cap gun was made in1887 with a 3 star rating for rarity. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 24 (B45.1). This cap gun is 4 3/8 inches in length. It is a single shot, single action, which means it has to be cocked every time to fire it. It takes a single small cap. The toy gun doesn’t have a cy...linder. The name BULLDOG is clearly embossed on the left side of the gun and PAT JUNE 21 1887 is embossed on the right side of the gun and there is scroll work on the grip of the gun. It has a dark brown patina. This is a rare beauty in excellent condition. Please refer to the pictures.This is a toy cap gun. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
