These shears are stamped "MECHANICS PRIDE" "KOMINS BROS. PHILA. PA." They are about 12-5/8" in length when they are closed. The spring is about 3-13/16" wide. They weigh in at about 13 ounces. I wasn't able to find much history of the Komins Bros. but that they in business from the early 1900s into the 1920s. I couldn't find many examples of any of their tools so I am considering these rather rare. They are in solid usable physical condition and have a great patina look with some paint... remaining. Great as decor, to add to your collection of rare tools, or to sharpen up and use for their intended purpose.
