This Original Antique SIGNED Ostby & Barton 1920's Art Deco Solid Sterling Silver & 10k Solid White Gold Ring is beautifully bead set with a 2mm Natural & Genuine Antique Single Cut Diamond. This type of antique single cut diamond has a larger table and a round girdle and no culet facet. A single cut diamond has 16 to 18 facets. This type of single cut is an early diamond cut dating to the 19th and early 20th century. The reason for the diamond to be cut in this manner is so that the light is brought in at such an angle that the vision which those gazing upon the diamond perceive is one of brilliance and fire. This diamond has very nice color and clarity and is guaranteed to be both Genuine & Natural. As far as clarity it is conservatively in the VS range because we can see no visible inclusions using a 10x loupe. As far as color it is hard to say because it is mounted in white gold mount so our best estimate is that it is in the J-K range. This Diamond is in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, cracks, or scratches. This ring has been set with a 10k Soild White Gold Diamond mount in which the diamond has been expertly bead set. The interior of the ring is also fully hallmarked with the maker's mark "OB" which is the hallmark for Ostby & Barton an extremely collectible and sought after vintage brand.
