Up for sale is a very RARE pair of early 1900's stacked leather football cleats! The leather on these cleats is in worn but still strong condition! It is soft and supple and has a killer worn brown patina with the circular leather round distinctive logo on both the interior and exterior of these old beauts! The stacked leather cleats are all present. They are worn down from gridiron warfare! Stacked leather cleats were used from the late 1890's into the mid 1920's. They consist of seve...ral layers of thin leather stacked up and nailed to the boot. The smaller and more narrow the cleats, the older they are (see all brass eye lets clean and intact and still shining as well - leather laces. These old antique dark brown leather antique football circa boots appear to be from the early 1900's. The under soles and cleats are in game worn condition . There is no size marked on them (my guess when comparing to other antique cleats would be adult size 9.5 -10). They measure approx 11 1/2" long and are 3.65 inches wide. As noted, thick brown laces intact.
