Vintage 1970's-1980's US Army Master Aviator Mini Wings ZIPPO LIGHTER EMBLEM (ns-no star)

Vintage, very nice, well preserved condition.
The back is flat, it mounts to lighters by using a little bit of epoxy glue like JB Weld or a clear epoxy 2 part glue. Super glue can hold it too but I have not tried it to know how well or how long it lasts, but epoxy seems to hold forever! Place the emblem over the lighter and ...press down, it takes the shape of your lighter's curve.Metal emblem, possibly pewter.
Measures around 1 1/4" x 1/4", small size.
This dates to around 1970's-80's.
This is not made by Zippo, that company isn't too patriotic but these emblems are made for the US Military and that's all that matters.
Zippo lighters with similar military emblems sell for a lot more than plain zippo lighters. Instantly increase the value of your lighter with this emblem! It fits any lighter with a flat surface.
**These emblems were made by an insignia company that would supply military commissaries and when demand was not high enough items like this were boxed and stored for decades until recently being sold as surplus. They are genuine US Military items, at times the buyer had a choice of lighters and emblems for Crest Craft lighters or for a little more money they had the option of Zippo lighters. These items I have listed are rare no matter the quantity I have listed for sale because no other seller has them available, no undercutting company in China mass produces them and no company at this time makes them anywhere around the world.**
This design may have not been used or it might not be an original design, I'm not sure.
There are pictures of a lighter and a Quarter coin to show how it looks on a lighter and a size comparison. (The lighter and coin are not included in the sale.) Yes they are a small size, it's the only size ever available though!
