Rare Finnish "piilukirves" broad axe. Not your typical broad axe for squaring logs, this is used for making Finnish piilu-finishing to log building walls. This is used in outside walls for closing grains in wood to give superior resistance to elements. It's very unique and beautiful looking too.
Fine original condition (handle not complete, only small stump as shown), new handle and slight honing of blade needed and this is ready to work again.
