This is one of the Fabulous Collection range of sheets from Faded-Grandeur!! Exceptional quality antique sheets made from pure French linen using the longest and best strands. They will be fluid and supple and 'heavy in the hand' as good linen should be. Some are monogrammed, others embroidered, but all the very highest quality craftsmanship, and getting... rarer to find each year.
This is barely used and deliciously cool to the touch. Heavy and floppy pure linen fil sheet in a lovely off white colour.This wonderful sheet has a monogram DC, which is centrally placed. It is large and in the art deco style with embellishments, love knot stitch, cutwork, and flowers.In addition to the monogram this wonderful sheet is embroidered with flowers and foliage and drawn threads across the whole width of the sheet, and then down the return for 30" or 76cm. Fabulous exceptional handiwork.It has a deep (3 1/2" or 9cm) ladderwork hem under the decoration. Really beautiful embroidery on a wonderful quality sheet.

This sheet would have been part of the bride's 'trousseau' or dowry linen with both the bride and groom's initials embroidered onto the linen. Some of the trousseau the bride would have made herself, others would have been given as wedding presents.
