This auction is for a antique Johnson Clark gold medal hand crank 1868 home shuttle sewing machine. It has a date of July 1868 stamped on the needle plate. I did not see any breaks or cracks- nice early stencil work on this. I do not have the plate part that went over the space in the deck (if there was supposed to be one). I have the screw that goes into the base to secure to a table. The crank turns and the needle moves up and down. Will need a tune up and a little restora...tion I imagine.
