Gorgeous, solid cherry vintage Twin 4-poster bed by Kling Colonial (part of Ethan Allen & Knob Creek) 1980's original soft gloss finish. This poster bed consists of the carved poster headboard (design support brace facing the wall), carved poster footboard with quilt rail, 4 carved finials and brand new twin iron rails. (4-pc set plus 4 finials) Excellent vintage condition, thick cherry wood (no veneer), only a few very minor scratches, unnoticeable, looks like only a couple years ...old. Rich, deep medium cherry tone with old growth cherry figuring and tiger's eye kind of depth to the wood.
Note that the footboard was next to a bright window and headboard against a cream background, so the photos appear with different shades of finish. The entire bed is matched in one medium warm cherry slightly reddish shade, as shown in the first and second overall photos, not the usual black/brown old shade from Ethan Allen's Georgian Court or Kling's original dark brown, or the medium maple color produced from the flash. The brand new iron rails ($45) are soft black with drilled holes for bolting support slats safely into place for a mattress, along with double hooks for easy on & off assembly.
Dimensions: 42" wide x 81-1/2 "long x 68-1/2" high (63" with finials removed during transport).
