THE MOUNTS ARE OF BRASS WITH COMMUNIST SYMBOLS, HANDLE HAS CARVED INSCRIPTIONS IN CHINESE AND IN CYRILLIC, SOMETHING ABOUT SOVIET MILITARY ACADEMY. THE SCABBARD WITH ENGRAVED LONG INSCRIPTIONS ON BOTH SIDES. THE BLADE IS OF STRONG STEEL, SINGLE EDGED AND HAS COMMUNIST SYMBOL MARKINGS ON RICASSO. CONDITION IS GOOD WITH LIGHT AGE WEAR AND PATINA, BLADE AND HILT ARE TIGHT. LIKELY ARO...UND WW II PERIOD. TOTAL LENGTH IS 20 1/4" BLADE IS 15"
