This is a very old solid brass Steam locomotive builders plate. It is marked: VULCAN IRON WORKS BUILDERS WILKES - BARRE, "PA" ( "PA" in a "logo" style).
It is # 595 which denotes the construction number.
The plate measures almost 8" by 6". It shows great age and has a dark patina with wear marks that would be expected for a locomotive plate this old. Very Steampunk look to it!
