very nice unrestored 100% original California license plate pair. 1956 issue; number JAF 309. 12x6 inches; black legend on marigold yellow background. plates are completely straight and flat and are in excellent condition. each has a tiny bit of surface rust, mostly around the edges. nothing that can't be elegantly mitigated with a nice pair of frames. they've been given a thorough cleaning, and are otherwise just as they came out of the barn.
