This is a very nice quality inkwell in solid English sterling silver.
It was made by William Neale and is hallmarked by the Birmingham assay office with the date stamp for 1912, as shown.
The piece measure 16.5 cms in diameter of the base and sits to a height of 6.5 cms. It is a really nice piece which would make a unique gift that would still look great on any desk today and as you can see the shield cartouche is blank.
It also comes with a glass liner, as seen, which is free... for damage. The item itself is also in good condition with no damage, but do remember this is an antique piece so do not expect a a brand new look.
