Original Description:
Original British 1853 pattern cavalry trooper's sword without a scabbard. The sword is converted for drill purposes (tip is rounded, blade is marked D.P., 1" cut to the middle). The 33 1/2" slightly curved, single fullered blade is marked DF/AF at forte. Regulation steel triple bar hilt with knuclebow, 2 sidebards and sideloop, marks stamped on the back above quillon, checked leather grips riverted threough tang. No scabbard.
