Linhof Technika Metal 4X5 Antique View Camera READ CONDITION.
I believe this is a Linhof Technika IV, but I am not 100% sure about the IV model number. It could be a model III. I believe it was made in the 1940s.
This Linhof camera is a nice example of an antique 4x5 inch View Camera. This particular camera was used by several photographers in the Central California region, until it fell from a tripod, was damaged, and was given to my father, who made a few repairs (see ...below, see last 2 photos in my list of photos). It is in OK condition, considering it's history. As far as I can tell, all of it's parts work. The bellows can be raised and lowered in the front, as well as moved side-to-side. Everything functions pretty smoothly. Please ask me any questions, I am happy to send more photos.
Specifications: The cam is for a 127mm lens. Includes film holder, with depth of field table on back/ frosted glass inside. Serial # 50351. Printed on top: DBP West Germany APa Linhof Munchen
ALSO INCLUDES: 4 lens boards: one is original, with Technika logo attached, 1 inch hole; 3 are homemade, 1 has 1 inch hole, 2 are not drilled. Also includes one rangefinder scale in meters (rangefinder scale on the camera is measured in feet). Photos of these items are not listed, but I can send them to you. Also includes replacement bellows.
DAMAGE THAT WAS REPAIRED/ OTHER ISSUES:
1. Front Standard was bent. This is the U-shaped piece in the front that holds the front of the bellows. It has been straightened out, and looks pretty good. I am told it was the right-hand side that was bent. I do not see any damage.2. One of the tracks that the bellows rides on was broken. It has been repaired, there are some visible chips (see photo). The bellows still rides smoothly on this track.3. Strap has been replaced with a piece of leather4. The bellows have been repaired (see photo)5. The knobs that control the "back swing" (extending the bellows out the back of camera): there should be 4 knobs, but there are only 3.6. The film holder has a chip out of the corner of its frosted glass
