Description: I had purchased a full set of Meissen at auction. I am reducing my collection and selling the pieces separately. This listing is for a small coffee pot that holds 4 cups (equal to 1 quart, 1 liter or 1000 ml). The pot measures 8.75” to the tip of the finely formed rose top. The flowers are beautifully hand painted. The gilding on the handle and on the nicely shaped spout is especially pretty. The mark on the bottom are blue swords that cross with an S undernea...th. The set had been sold to me as Meissen. This mark, however, suggests this is made by Samson, a company that sold in the 1800's as well as early 1900's. If you are interested in other pieces, I can combine shipping if I can safely do so.
Condition: Excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs. Some very minor gilding loss.One of the nibs on the cover is gone.Tiny loss on the tip of the rose on the cover.The only flaw I see is on the cover where the little nibs that help the top stay on during pouring has been broken (see please close-up photo).
