This listing is for a beautiful typewriter. The paint is so nice and the pin striping is very good. The only real issue is by the name decal on the front. See pic 1. The whole unit was cleaned up and lubed. There are one or two sticky keys. The ribbon is there and it is seemingly complete. The best part is the LID! Where have you ever seen a #4 cover. The paint is almost all gone and there are one or 2 dents. The handle is gone too. The only flaw about it is that the wood base for the ...lid is not there. It was a single piece of oak with 4 hooks. It is easily made if you are handy. The oak can be bought at hime depot for $14.00 and the hooks are under $2.00. I just don't have time.....It is heavy and the cover adds a lot of box space. I wont take chances on shipping so if it does not fit in my 22" boxes they will have to ship separately. Pick up always preferred...
PLEASE NOTE:I use fresh packing materials for almost every radio I ship. I pay for heavy duty boxes, 14 Cubic foot bags of peanuts, 300 count air packs, and 1000ft rolls of strong large bubble bubble wrap. I use tons of materials to ensure you get the radio safely. I have never had one broken in shipping. A table radio will go into about 20' of bubblewrap and then into a bath of well packed peanuts usually. That is all packed with at least 2" of additional packing between the wrap and box sides. Last is a good 50' of heavy duty tape. This is not cheap so before you say shipping is too much please check the current price of proper packing. This is added to the crazy actual shipping costs.
I ALWAYS refund excess shipping/packing costs. I cannot pre box items as I sell locally so shipping has to be an estimate. See my feedback for all the positive comments about my shipping/packing and even the refunds. Many times I end up paying over what the shipping states.
