Hi there. Little background on this. Sometime in the mid-early 1980's, my father and I went to a sale that a guy was having in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The guy having the sale was an old man named Clark Wilkinson . He ran theaters in that area for many years. His house was a museum. I think he saved everything and we bought a lot of items from him. I think if you were to google his name it would bring up some info. This is from his collection.
Here we have an original broadside post...er for 'Birth of a Nation'. Wow this is a neat piece. This is from some time after the initial release in 1915. Poster mentions 'At Popular Prices'. Unsure of the exact date this piece is from. Late teens maybe. You don't see these everyday. Has a few, 1" or less, tears at edges. Paper has yellowed, but is not very brittle. A few very small chips missing from top right side edge of front. Printed on newsprint as these things were back then. Measures approx. 21.5"x9.75". Please see photos and zoom in to see details.
