An unusual antique Treen wood Acorn retracting pencil in the form of an acorn. Polished Treen wood center, metal alloy top in silver and brass color. Turn the bale to advance or retract pencil. Made for chatelaine or watch chain. Trace amount of lead in pencil. Measures 1 1/2" when open x 1/2" round. Circa 1890.
