This vintage toy still WORKS, but IT IS MISSING THE KEY, and has a couple of other flaws, so please read the entire description. This is a celluloid, wind-up, toy cowboy & horse. The horse is embossed: "MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN." As mentioned NO WINDING KEY, but I was able to carefully turn the stem, with a pair of needle nose pliers, and he DOES WORK NICELY. The wire lariat, or rope, that the cowboy is holding and the horse's tail are ...also missing. The stems, that the rope and tail attache to, are still present, and both spin properly, when the toy is wound. If you are handy, it should not be too hard to fashion a tail and lariat. The GOOD news, is that the celluloid horse and cowboy are in VERY nice condition, with no splits, punctures, dents, melt marks, or other serious damage. There is a small hole (smaller than a BB) on the rope, in the cowboy's left hand. This occurs along a seam, and is probably a factory flaw. (See close-up with pencil point.) The horse measures approx. 4 & 1/2 inches long. With a little help, this could be a very nice toy. It is guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
