Antique WATERMAN Gold Filled Fountain Pen. Reference 0552. Lever Filling. Made in United States. Circa 1915 to 1930
Gold filled plain with textured line pattern. Screw down cap with 18k gold filled clip, signed “Clip-Cap. Ideal, 18k Filled”. Body with lever filling system, marked “Ideal”. Black section. Original 14k medium nib signed “Waterman’s, Reg. U.S. Pat. Off., 4”.
Marks: On cap: “Waterman’s”, and “WW” on top.On blind cap: “Waterman’s, Reg. ...U.S. Pat. Off., Made in U.S.A.”, and “0552”.
Dimension: The overall length (capped), is 5.47” inches (139 millimeters).
Condition: very good overall (please check the larger photographs for details). The gold filled body and cap show slight scratches produced by the common use, and some faded gold filled near the section (please check). The lever system is working, and the nib, as you can appreciate in photographs, is working too, but if you make some pressure on it, it barely splits near the top.
