Vintage racing pennants from the library of Sonny Angel. Originals, not reproductions. These came from Sonny's collection in varied degrees of condition. Auction includes all three. The 1960 Isle of Man pennant is the best, made of felt and pliable. Fairly good condition. The 1951 Assen and Spa Francorchaps pennants are rough and threadbare. However, artwork on the Spa pennant is still intact and amazing. Would look amazing mounted in a shadow box or other.Sonny traveled to all three o...f these races, including the 1960 IOMTT as a participant aboard his Yamaha YDS-1.Sonny owned and operated Sonny Angel Motorcycles for 61 years in National City, California. Sonny performed an apprenticeship at Vincent HRD in Stevenage for six months in 1951. He returned home and opened his shop in 1953. He stayed in business for 61 years, selling 48 different brands of motorcycles. In 1955, he rode his 1949 Vincent Rapide to 144.69 MPH at the Bonneville Salt Flats, and 144.95 in 1981. He raced all versions of Norton motorcycles including Manx and Dominators, finiding success at local Southern California race tracks.Check my feedback and buy confidently.
