Original Description:
Up for sale is an antique paperweight; the base and top are solid brass. It measures  3" high x 3" wide and weighs just over 1 lbs 12 oz.It has " SAML R SMITH & BRO SANITARY PLUMBERS 227 N. BROAD ST " embossed on the concrete textured base. I'm guessing this is from the 1920s but it is probably a little earlier because of the word sanitary. The sanitary plumbers would have converted the cesspools (privys) to plumbing around the turn of the century. This paperweight came from a...n old Philadelphia estate; this was probably an advertising item from a local supply company. It has scratches and dings and seems like the valve might be missing something? Check out the photos.
