Vintage 35mm Camera Yashica Electro M5 Yashion F2.8 45mm lense.
1970s * Working
My First 35 mm camera.
I purchased it in the early 1970's... Took lots of wonderful pictures.
Original case included.. Lost lens cap decades ago. Has been in case 100% of the time.
Has slight wear marks where the Original strap (included)&nb...sp;attaches to the body. There is a small indent on the ring below the lens. Light scuffs as seen in the pictures.
In working order.. Needs new battery. (old one is still inside and all is clean)
Original case is in wonderful condition with some scuffs and wear.
From a web page here is the info I was able to obtain.
What does the M5 stand for? Well, there’s the Yashica Minister, the Minister II, the Minister III and the Minister D or 700 (or the Minister IV). So, is the Yashica Electro M5, the Minister 5? Could be. And if it is, it’s certainly the simplest of the bunch. Throw in a battery, some film, and set the symbol according to the manual, focus and pull the trigger. That’s all you need to do. It’s similar to the Yashica MG- 1 and others with a CdS light meter in the lens area which does away from having to guess any compensation when a filter is used. It requires a 28A/28L battery or the A544 version which makes it easy. The battery is necessary for the automatic exposure and the electronic shutter. This one came with a glossy, black hard case. It’s very handsome but the top portion is prone to damage because of the way it was made to fit over the bottom half. It’s a good looking camera and fun to use. It’s the kind of camera one takes on a Sunday stroll. Please see pictures for cosmetic condition. Please see all pictures... Pictures form part of description.A fabulous addition to your collection. I ship worldwide. PLEASE CHECK MY OTHER AUCTIONS AND SAVE ON SHIPPING!I combine shipping where items allow. SHIPPING AND HANDLING COMBINEDALL SHIPPING FROM CANADA IS DETERMINED BY WEIGHT AND PACKAGE SIZE.THERE IS NO MEDIA RATE SHIPPING AVAILABLE FROM CANADA Please refer to photos for different angles and close ups. Some photos do not depict true colour due to camera and computer variances; please refer to description. All measurements are approximate. My goal is to be as descriptive as possible. I am not a collector or an expert on the items offered and with antiques & collectibles some things I see as 'normal ageing' or a 'natural flaw' someone else may see as a flaw. I try, but it is not always possible to point out every detail on every item. I supply several pictures and as accurate a description as possible. I do my best to describe any/all flaws, and all items are thoroughly checked before being listed and are on an "as is"/"where is" basis. I send out an eBay invoice to the winner within 24 hours of the end of the auction. If I do not hear from the winner, I send out a second invoice 3 days after the end of the auction.
On the fourth day the eBay automated system initiates the nonpayment form to resolve any issues. Please feel free to contact me prior to bidding with any questions and for any clarification. Good luck in your bidding.
