It has a tiny chip on the rim and two tight fine hairlines that a barely visible. One starts at the chip and the other is near the handle. Please see pictures for detail.
The pitcher measures approximately 4 3/4 inches tall.
The mark in black on the base reads, The U...lster Pottery Co Coal Island Ireland surrounding a hand of Ulster as shown in the pictures.

The Coal Island jug is circa 1870-1880 based on the mark. These items based on known from pieces in Irish museum collections are made from a fine, thin yellow tinged, porcelain, are glazed and are usually decorated with raised floral and berry motifs. Little is known about the Ulster Pottery Company, per se, except that is was short lived commercial enterprise/ceramic- experiment and output was limited. However, the Coal Island district was an well - established pottery district for the manufacture of country pottery, earthenware, crocks, pans, etc and it is likely that a firm from the local district.
