For your consideration is a Series V 16S, 15J E. Howard Pocket Watch. This watch was produced between 1869 to 1899. Serial Numbers for these watches started at 50, 001 and ended at 71, 500. Watch is in working condition. The Dial has a few small hairlines which can be seen in the photos. Overall a very nice dial which faces up very well. The Umbrella Hands are nicely blued. The crystal does have small scratches like a wrist watch will get from wear. The Moveme...nt is a beautiful nickel and has the key wind and key set mechanism still on movement with the Letter L. The serial number is on the low end at 58414. The watch is stem wind and stem set.The Hunter Case is a Drum Style in 18K Gold and weighs 133 grams total weight. The front cover has a weak spring, it releases okay but needs assistance to fully open to 90 degrees. The Back Cover and Dust Cover both open to 90 degrees. The front cover has large old English initials. Overall the case has very little wear. I am a private collector who will be listing well over a hundred really nice pocket watches in the next several weeks. Selling this large collection only because of unforeseen personal issues.
