Antique, circa 1902-1915 (based upon research of the green, factory mark on the bottom [which, btw, took many, many hours to identify!]), Hand-Painted Vase produced by, what was named during this period in its long history, Porzellanmanufaktur Tettau, "Porcelain Factory Tettau" (P.T.) Germany, Sontag & Söhne, and Signed by their Master Artist, J. Braun. The history that I encountered regarding this manufacturer was very interesting. This was the first porcelain factory in Bava...ria and was only permitted to be built in Tettau after persuading the Prussian King, Friedrich Wilhelm II. Thus was the factory named, from its inception in 1794 until its closing in 2019, "Königlich privilegierte Porzellanmanufaktur Tettau" (Royally Privileged Porcelain Factory Tettau). The factory, while changing ownership several times, was in continuous production throughout its 225-year history. As can be seen in the photos, this is a beautiful piece that was long-displayed in our late parents' home. The painting is absolutely stunning and the gold, gilt band around the base shines amazingly. The only flaw detected is what appears to be two very small spots of chipped paint (which I only noticed after magnified inspection and catching the light just so).8" tall, 6.5" wide. All serious offers will be considered. Will be carefully packed and shipped with USPS Priority Mail, with value-appropriate insurance obtained.
