Circa: 1914.THANK YOU for considering our just about perfect in all categories, total collector-investor grade Hamilton Grade 996, 16 size, open face, 19 jewels, Model One, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, double roller, jeweled Motor barrel, rub...y and sapphire jewel material, screw micrometer, Breguet hairspring, sapphire pallet jewels, raised and cupped gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, ¾ nickel plate, stem wind, lever set, railroad-grade movement. This fine 996 railroad grade movement is in superlative working order, with a dead flat and true balance wheel motion that has a fine, wide arc and strong, steady beat. The movement is a smooth wind, starts right up on my 5th wind with no jiggling, and lever sets as designed. The movement holds time within 30 seconds per week face-up after careful hand regulating and before dis-assembly. As for appearance this 996 is looking wondrous, with nice, bright and clean highly engraved winding wheels with the giant jeweled barrel wheel, shiny bright and clean nickel plates with the neat Model One radiating fishscale damascene pattern and all of the fine gilt inlaid engraving paint intact, pristine and correct smaller "Reed" regulator needle and whip, very clean looking inside, around the sides and in front, and rocking and rolling keeping railroad time!! The movement does show very slight and ordinary wear only with no abuse. It will be a great acquisition for the lucky top bidder!
