LARGE ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY TERRACOTTA FRENCH CONFIT POT OR GENERAL USE POT WITH A RUST COLORED GLAZE AND WHIMSICAL HIGHLIGHTS OF RED AND BLUE COLORS. GREAT AMPHORA OR OVOID FORM WITH STURDY HANDLES. THE MANGANESE GLAZE STILL RETAINS ITS WONDERFUL SHEEN. THE DEEP RED CLAY HAS A RICH PATINA AND IS LIGHTLY CLEANED. THIS IS A SUBSTANTIAL PIECE OF ANTIQUE POTTERY AND ARTWORK. IT WEIGHS 17 POUNDS. 
  POTTERY OF THIS QUALITY IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND THESE DAYS. IT IS LIGHTLY CLE...ANED TO PRESERVE ORIGINALITY. IT WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION TO A COLLECTOR OR FOR RESALE. ANOTHER PIECE OF POTTERY FROM A LARGE PERSONAL COLLECTION AFTER 40 YEARS IN THE ANTIQUE BUSINESS AND OVER 100 BUYING TRIPS TO EUROPE.
  18 1/2 INCHES TALL AND 17 POUNDS.
