Description A beautiful decorative English antique Edwardian solid sterling silver chatelaine needle holder/case by the silversmiths Adie & Lovekin Ltd - (1894 - 1927) in lovely condition and with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1902. Excellent quality genuine 118 year old example with a... hinged silver flip-top lid and complete with its original large silver hallmarked attachment/bale ring. All-over decorated with attractive foliate and prick-work engraving and inside it has its original gilt-lined interior. There are no added personal engraved inscriptions. Weighs 23 grams. Measurements Measures 2.55 inches (66mm) in length (including bale ring) x 0.65 inches (16mm) diameter.Date English antique Edwardian solid sterling silver with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1902, (date letter "c"). Excellent clear struck marks on case and lid. Also hallmarked on the attachment ring.Maker Silversmiths initials "AL Ld" (Adie & Lovekin Ltd - 1894 - 1927). Condition Lovely condition with no splits or repairs and no nasty knocks or dents, just a couple of tiny little pin-head bruises, really nothing much at all and a very nice example. The hinged silver lid works perfectly and opens and closes tightly and securely and the interior gilding is original and is virtually all still intact.
