Vintage Stanley No 65 Low Angle Block Plane in SUPERB CONDITION!
Vintage Stanley No 65 Low Angle Block Plane from my own collection. This plane is in superb condition and is definitely a performer. The japanning is nearly flawless, the nickel plating is nearly 100% complete as well. The blade has been sharpened and honed to 16k. As you can see from the photos, this 65 can take whispy thin, full shavings from walnut, ash, and southern yellow pine without breaking a sweat. The mouth ...is fully adjustable, so you can take anything from thin shavings to chamfers to moderately heavy stock removal. However, as you can see from the photos, I have personally only used this one for fine work and chamfering. This is not one of my ‘beaters’. Haha. Im selling off quite a bit of my collection that I simply don’t use while I’m rebuilding my shop. So, check out my other auctions and keep an eye out.
