You are bidding on the exact, original, Antique 1908 Stonebridge WWI US Army Medical Corps Folding Trench Candle Lantern that you see in the photos.

Made by C.H. Stonebridge MFG. Co.. Patented Nov. 20, 1906 to June 9, 1908. Made in the U.S.A. The Stonebridge "Storm Proof" lantern was adopted by the U.S. War Dept & was supplied to all branches of the U.S. Army & militia during World War I.
This lantern has the harder to find addition of the Medical Caduceus Symbol on the embossed metal lettering on the top, making this a US
Army Medical Corps. lantern.
The lantern has 3, in tact, mica sides, folds very small when not in use & gives a good light that does not blow out in the wind. You can see the neat candle glow it gives off in a few of the photos. Some, what I would call, light cosmetic wear from age and usage. All three mica windows are still intact with some wear. The candle you see in the photos will be included, it has a twine wrapped around the bottom and someone had used a metal twist off soda bottle cap to hold the candle into the lantern but it really isn't needed...however that is how we got it so that is how you get it :)
Still folds & unfolds as intended as you can see in the photos. This item will be packed folded with clean paper pieces in between each mica window.
