1946 Vintage Photo by ACME. A little student at the Futaba School concentrates on learning how to make button-holes. The Futaba Catholic School in Tokyo, Japan, bombed out during World War 2, is being rebuilt by the Alumni, who financed its reconstruction by selling their personal belongings, and by the students who have done most of the manual labor. Futaba, which means two leaves, symbolizes a combination of the Eastern plus Western Culture. The school, run by... the Sisters of Saint Maur, offers an education to children of all nationalities.
