Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:27852096 |
Up for auction is a Victorian cocktail shaker by E G. Webster from the late 1800's. E G Webster opened for business in the 1850's to manufacture silver plate hollow ware. The company changed the marks through out the history of the company but they only used the mark on the base of the shaker between 1886 and 1898 when they became part of the International Silver Company. At that time the mark changed to reflect the IS mark along with the Webster mark. The cocktail shaker is very large standing about 12.75 inches tall with a liquid capacity of about 60 ounces. There are no monograms or dents and the silver plate is in good condition with light ware. This is truly a fantastic shaker as shown in the pictures.
