Superb **Rare** 1755 English Silver pair cased verge fusee Pocket Watch made by G. Coleman of London. It’s an Amazing Looking and Running Mid 17th Century Pocket Watch. The Perfectly matching Solid English Sterling Silver pair case is Silver hall marked (u) 1755 of London Assay. Only the inner pair case is hallmarked which was common for the early 1700’s. Beautiful condition White porcelain dial with Sharp Clear numbers and a few unique light Blue spider lines. Otherwise no chips o...r other problems. Beautifully Unique Solid Gold Hands to match. Spotless High Domed crystal. All Case Covers open, close and fit Perfect together Nice and Tight with Perfectly Tight hinges. Top bow is fits snug. Key wind and key set pocket watch runs full length of chain. The Movement has Super balance motion with a Nice Smooth Loud Tick. The balance bridge is beautiful With its unique Face and scroll work with Large Diamond End Stone. The Bridge has the “D” Shaped footing and ornate Ringed scroll work typical for the Period Movements. The movement is Near Mint Condition and Absolutely Beautiful with its Bright Screws, Silver regulator disc and Spotless movement plates. Movement looks and runs as if it was just made yesterday. The unique Large Egyptian Pillars are Truly Amazing. The pocket watch Serial number is number of 175 is Super low. Pocket Watch measures approx. 51mm excluding the bow. Movement is regulated by a Right sided Silver indexed disc. Pocket watch runs Outstanding and keeps Great fusee time, last checked it was running +/- 2 minutes within approx. 24 hour period hanging from a hook in the vertical position........ But cannot guarantee accuracy upon sale. These watches are verge type. Meant to keep time, not perfect time over 264 years ago. Also special care must be taken not to overwind these old museum pieces and always remember to wind counter clockwise.
