Up for auction is a set of authentic antique vintage cowboy chaps made by Visalia Stock Saddle Co., San Francisco, California. Please study the photos carefully for details. These awesome chaps are old. The leather is weathered and has seen a lot of use. Each leg of the chaps has one brass button missing. The belt and buckle is in very good condition. The snaps on both pockets work fine. I hope the photos give you a decent idea of the condition... of these chaps. The chaps measure approximately 36" in length. The Visalia Stock Saddle Company logo is located on four (4) different places on the belt. Two on the outside and two on the inside.
The chaps were acquired at a Northern Nevada estate sale. The 64 year old gentleman from whom these chaps were acquired said the original owner was his great-grandfather who began ranching in northern California in the 1870's. These chaps are going to come complete with dust and everything. They are being offered exactly as found. I didn't attempt to clean them for fear I may just mess something up. I have no idea what the interest will be in these chaps, so I will begin the auction at .01 cent without reserve and see where that takes us.
