Not sure exactly what this item is, but after some quick reasearch we assume it is an antique transit sight and compass. With original metal box, canvas bag and shipping box with the year Oct. 1948. Meter inside is marked Swift & Anderson Inc., Boston USA. Excellent condition, just what appears to be some mold on outside metal box, probably from being stored in the canvas bag/corrugated box. If you know what it was used for, we’d love to know! Heavy. Estimating 15 lbs but will happil...y reimburse for extra shipping if I have gone over or you can wait to pay invoice when I calculate actual.
