You are looking at a rare 1950's - 60's University of Iowa Hawkeyes Football Herk the Hawk Cigarette Lighter that plays the Iowa Fight Song! This is a fantastic piece of Iowa Football memorabilia and a VERY RARE lighter. It winds and plays the Iowa fight song when you flip the switch. Pretty awesome!
The Lighter seems to be in good shape for its age. Paint and everything looks good. I'm not a lighter expert so I'm not sure if it works or not but these are heav...y duty so I'm assuming it does. It is engraved with "BEACHCOMBER BLUE BIRD Pat. No. 141469 JAPAN" on the bottom. I don't have the original box. Please see pictures. Good luck!
