The covers are separated from the program, and there's scrapbook residue on the back cover. There's also staining on the inside back cover and on the top edge of the first page. The individual point totals and final score are written in pen on the fourth quarter scorepage. Bob Pettit's name... is written in pen on one page, but it isn't his autograph. The interior pages are bound tightly.1957-58 NBA All Star Game Program - The St. Louis Hawks had the honor of hosting the 8th annual NBA All Star Game in 1958, and this is a rare program from the night of stars at the St. Louis Arena. Early NBA All Star programs are quite scarce.Despite the East beating the West in the game, the home crowd had something to cheer about as the Hawks' Bob Pettit was selected the game MVP. He was the top scorer in the game with 28 points. Philadelphia's Paul Arizin came off the bench to lead the East with 24. Other West players in double figures - George Yardley (19), Jack Twyman (18), Gene Shue (18) and Maurice Stokes and Larry Foust with 10 each. The other top scorers for the East - Bob Cousy (20), Dolph Schayes (18), Bill Sharman (15), Neil Johnston (14), Kenny Sears (12) and Bill Russell (11).The program includes a page of photos of all of the players on both teams, and there are photos and bios of the two head coaches - Red Auerbach of the East and the West's Alex Hannum.
