Letter rom A.N. Towne between the General Manager of the Central Pacific Railroad Company to William H Armstrong, U.S. Commissioner of Railroads. On official company letterhead. Dated September 24, 1883. The letter discussed irrigation concerns in the San Joaquin Valley. It's charter was to complete the western part of the 1st Transcontinental Railroad and began operation in 1862. I'm sure it's interesting reading for railroad historians. Original. This letter was par...t of historical items that belonged to William H. Armstrong.
