This listing is for an antique Parian bisque porcelain plaque mounted on black velvet and in a gilt wood frame. The frame measures 27 by 20 inches or 68.5 by 50.8 cm, the figural plaque measures 12 1/4 by 8 inches or 31.1 by 20.3 cm. The plaque features a young lady seated with a long flowing dress, holding a cloth in her one hand and above her a female cherubic figure. The piece is all hand painted and excellent attention to detail throughout, it is further enhanced with heavy applie...d gold highlights. The frame has a beautiful open work scrolling design with acanthus leaves, shell motifs and beaded designs.The piece is in very good condition for its age the woman but her pinky finger is missing on one hand. There also some splits in the black velvet fabric. Please see many photographs as they are an important part of the description. There is no reserve.
