~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~~ ~*~ This textile is French and dates from the late 1800's and is one of my very favorites! There is a little tag on the inside with the original Parisian tag!!~ ~*~ wonderful hand mends, this textile has many signs of time and use making is soulful and beautiful ~~ This textile is a work shirt made of a wonderfully faded, parched indigo blue dyed glazed very very finely woven linen. These textiles were worn to protect the clothing of a... man and were saved for special occasions and festivals! ~ This smock is both hand and machine stitched. ~Wonderful patina, gorgeous buttons, a BEAUTY ! ~*~ very finely woven ~ A very roomy textile ~*~ Gorgeous for wearing ! ~~*~ ( RR 6321) MEASUREMENTS : This lovely textile measures 39 inches long. Shoulders approx 23 inches measured straight across the back. The sleeve measures 22 inches long. The chest, when measures flat, from one underarm to the other is 40 inches!! So, the circumference is approx. 80 inches around, . Very very roomy ~*~ CONDITION: This lovely textile is freshly laundered. Wear in places ( please use the zoom feature on the photographs) with a few small holes too and many MENDS !! ~*~ . Timeworn and wonderful!
