Antique, complete set of numbers 0-8 steel stamping dies, in wooden box, with "BEST" partial paper label intact on side of box, estate find. Numbers are 5/16". Stamps are 2 1/2"L x 7/16"square. Total weight of stamps in box is 1lb. 9ozs. Box measures 4 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 3 3/8"H. In good condition, showing typical wear commensurate of age and use, with the exception of a crack on the corner of the lid, (see photos 10 & 11). The inside of the lid is stamped J.M.R. Seller has ano...ther set of letters A-Z plus &, in the same size, up for auction. That set is also stamped J.MR. on the inside of the lid.
