VINTAGE RAY FLORES LEATHER BOXING GLOVES. Up for auction is a pair of Boxing Gloves made by Ray Flores. Ray was a pro boxer in 1928 and 1929. He became a Boxing Referee and West Coast Boxing Glove Maker. He supplied a lot of the fight gloves worn in championship bouts of the 50's and 60's. Sugar "Ray" Robinson, Carl "Bobo" Olson and Sonny Liston wore Flores gloves. These gloves were found under a stage in a construction project in San Francisco in the 80's. Each glove has a Label with ...RAY FLORES and SAN FRANCISCO under it. I have not seen many with the Label that goes along the arm. Most of the ones I see have the Label that goes across the back of the arm. New laces were put in. Payment accepted is PayPal. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
