Item History & Price

Original/Reproduction: Vintage Original |
Here we have a nice triple cross slide for the watchmaker’s lathe. This compound slide was likely made in the 1805-1950 They marketed watchmaker’s lathes and tools which were of good quality and manufactured inthe USA as well as in Europe. This slide works quite smoothly and has very little sign of use. The chrome plating on the cast iron slides has some lightpitting as you can see in th...e photos but this has no effect on function and the slide shows little to no signs of wear. The slide comes with a standard lantern toolholder. This slide rest is ready to go to work on any watchmaker’s “w-w” style lathe with a 50 millimeter center height, such as a E. Rivett, Levin, Boley, Derbyshire, American Watch Tool, etc. Brand unknown, but looks to be either a E. Rivett or Hammel Riglander Company.
Used Condition: Good. Some minor signs of wear/use, scuffs/scratches/etc. Please see pictures for closer inspection and we as what is included in this listing. Sold as is.
