This is a good pair of 19th century Austrian Royal Vienna porcelain vases, in very good condition.The vases are finely painted with panels of two lovers in each, both of the same sex. I think this is unusual.Both vases are signed to the bottom right of the painted panels, and have the blue Vienna factory mark with an indistinct inscription to the underneath.The vases are finely gilded on a deep red background. On the back of the vases there are painted animals and birds painted in the... gilding. Please see photos 5, 10, 16.The vases both have their original covers but both have some restoration to the finials and therefore they will be included as an addition.The vases date to around 1880, and are in very good condition. The vase with the light blue background has a small chip to the base on the left front corner.
