GREAT LOOKING EDWARDIAN SILVER MOUNTED GLASS INKWELL - BIRMINGHAM 1905 GREAT LOOKING EDWARDIAN SILVER MOUNTED GLASS INKWELL - BIRMINGHAM 1905 From an estate clearance this is an English sterling silver mounted glass desktop inkwell as pictured.Although age rubbed you can still make out that the silver areas have been assayed in Birmingham during 1905. The makers mark is illegible.The chunky glass ink...well measures approximately 2" high with a 3" round base. It weighs 271.9 gramsThe glass areas appear to still be in good order with no obvious chips to highlight and just typical base wear. The silver areas have the typical light / faint scuffs and scratches around the bodywork and on the lid top commensurate with age and use but no nasty dents or dings anywhere as far as I can tell. This very attractive looking and fully functional old silver mounted Edwardian inkwell is being offered here in a used, antique condition, exactly as pictured and with no reserve.
