2 Vintage Disston No. 7 26” Hand Saws—7 & 5 1/2 TPI—7 Inch Heels—Straight—Users—These hand saws are part of about 50 saws that came from the collection of a retiring/downsizing woodworker. The majority of the saws appear to have been cleaned up/semi restored by him at some point in time.—fair overall condition—blades are both straight & should need little fine tuning to be 100%—blades are clean, but both do have light staining/patina throughout—the top horn on the h...andle of the 5 1/2 TPI saw is chipped—otherwise the handles are both in decent shape with some relatively minor nicks & dents —blade etchings are present—7 TPI etch is worn & obscured by staining/patina—5 1/2 TPI etch is worn at the top, but the rest is in good shape & easily read —both have 26” blades —7 TPI saw is approximately 7” at the heel—2 1/4” toe—30” overall length —5 1/2 TPI saw is approximately 7 1/4” at the heel—2 1/4” toe—30” overall length —the 7 TPI saw dates from between 1896-1917—the 5 1/2 TPI saw is from between 1917-1940A nice pair of vintage Disston No. 7 hand saws that would make a welcome addition to any toolbox.
