This is a vintage german swirl marble. It is very large. I don't have my caliper still, but I get about 1 7/8 inches on my tape measure. If I put it above the tape measure and line the edges it is probably actually 1 15/16. I believe this to be a caged divided core. The outside cage consists of 4 alternating groups of white then yellow lines that consist of groups of 5. The inside bands are (2) red/white, (1) blue/white, (1) yellow/green. I al...most thought it was a solid core, but I can see a little space in-between them. The surface is original. It has a lot of little hit marks and a couple small chips. Original ground pontil. Please reference the pics for the best description of its surface condition. I think it is still pretty clear. And I feel it displays nicely, but it is definitely not mint. These large ones are very hard to find any more. I will include my little acrylic stand with this marble. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
