Manfactured by Junghans betwe...en 1910-1930.
This example has the figure 'Diana' holding the pendulum in her right hand.
This Particular example is an earlier example as it has a plain dial without J.
The clock weighs approx 1.1kg
approximate height 35cm
This is an original example and not a reproduction, with all original points including.
i) The glass is actual glass and not perspex
ii) The winder is directly above the winder (see pictures)
iii) The movement runners for a longer period of time, The original clocks have 8 day movements, Repros have either 3 day or 5 day movements.
iv) Mounted on wooden base
v) signed base to the Diana statue
Another good indicator of its age is the wear that is present, exhibiting a typical amount of wear for a clock of over 100 years of age, rubbing to the figure, some surface loss around the time changing knob (wouldnt be present if contemporary).
Condition.
Cosmetically the clock has been well preserved, there is some wear and discolouration to the metal figure, some surface rubbing and discolouration in places, with some minor marks and light age related wear. Retaining a wonderful patina that is consistent with its age. The dial is well preserved with no cracks chips or loss, some minor discolouration in the centre. The clock is running very well. When it is fully wound it has run between 5 and 7 days without stopping, when being tested, whilst still feeling that it has time left on the spring, (very little needed after it stopping to get it fully wound) with some gaining and loss at times maybe 5 mins a day, there is a regualtor weight that can adjust this if necessary. I have no idea of its service history and would expect that it hasnt for many years.
